This may break is Studio May’s new magazine. It holds work in progress, fragments of thought, and the processes that sit behind what is eventually seen.

We are interested in how things come into being.

The hesitation. The repetition. The decisions that remain invisible once something is complete.

This may include unfinished work, notes, images, conversations, or ways of working that resist explanation. It may shift over time. It may contradict itself.

To make something is to risk instability. To follow a thought far enough that it changes shape. To allow something to fail, and in doing so, reveal something else.

This is where that is held.
